SELF MANAGEMENT

Skin changes such as cracked heels. require attention to minimise risks of infection (eg cellulitis).

Embedded in our Clinics philosophy is the goal to assist our clients with home management regimes such as:

  • teaching self lymph drainage

  • advice with appropriate exercises and return to gym programs

  • tips for skin and general limb care

  • correct regimes for garment wear and the appropriate use of garments for flight travel

  • referral if required onto other health professionals such as dieticians, and podiatrists who have experience with lymphoedema

  • correct bra wear (or other associated items of clothing) to avoid potential worsening of lymphoedema.
